I am assisting Laura Wolfe to communicate with others and this is the latest update from Laura.

Had Lung surgery before Christmas and had two nodules removed. They were cancerous. Spent 4 days in hospital and the cancer is stage 4B (advanced).

January 12 had first Chemo infusion. Up at 6, gave blood, received special meds in IV prior to chemo. Actual Chemo is 5 hours. Whole treatment is about 8 hour day.

Have medication to fight off nausea etc. Next treatment is 3 weeks for a 6 week cycle (5 months). I am expected tp lose my hair and I am losing my home. I only want to get well, find a place to live when the time comes.

I was shocked literally to see my co-pay for MedICAL is $980. All my expenses over will be paid. I think the chemo was around $2000. Not sure. I have to think positive about at least having MediCAL. If not, I would be on the streets with no treatment and just die or experience a miracle. Been sleeping a lot since #1 chemo and not too sick. Next treatments are Feb. 2 and 23. I have faith.

I need to get a cell phone and wanted to get cable for at least 6 months. May have to wait until treatments and $980 co pay goes down.

Banks want you to have some skin in the game, but will make exceptions. Ask Mike (Broker) about that – he was working on a Jacksonville deal bank went along with, where down payment was a Grant, BUT the city Mayor vouched for it (that was key).

Also, FHA multi-Fam loans are only 8% down, did u know that? Local Orange County CA broker does them here.

There are other programs where city/county will kick in some subsidies for affordable housing , but I’m not sure of specifics. Again, banks WILL consider them on a case-by-case basis.

Do you have something in-work already, or you just checking around?

I have a question for you. I am a renter and I am responsible for paying the HOA fees. I am also required, per lease, to maintain the landscaping. I was just informed by the HOA that the very tall queen palm in the front yard must be trimmed or there will be a fine. I let my landlord know because the trimming of this tree must be done professionally and costs about $50. My landlord informed me that because I am responsible for the maintenance of the yard I have to pay to have it done. And if I don’t I will have to pay the fines from the HOA. He never mentioned this when I moved in 8 months ago. I also specifically remember that it looked as though it needed trimming when we moved in. I feel like this type of maintenance should be the responsibility of the Landlord. Am I wrong?

BTW Hi Jack, referenced above, is a very specialized anit-virus that you should not attempt alone. It requires the help of a professional to determine the bad stuff. You can really mess up your computer if you delete files that your computer needs to run.
