Home Buyer Tax Credit extension finally passed on November 6th, and I thought that the investors would finally get a break by receiving a $6500 tax credit when purchasing an owner-occupied property.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case. I’ve rarely lived in one of the properties I own and, so mostly I rent because I move around so much due to my job, but I finally thought I’d be able to purchase a home to live in, and get the $6500 home buyer tax credit. Well, once again, the rules for the Home Buyer Tax Credit are so stringent, that probably only 1% of the population qualifies.
