Go to this CA State Controller’s California Unclaimed Property website to see if you are due any money. Plug your name in – you probably have a few $$$ waiting for you to be claimed. I had $21 owed me by a bank – not worth the time or the effort to claim it…
But someone else I know found $3800 they’re now claiming! Every state has a similar State Controller’s website.
