Unfortunately, the IRS targets the “little guy” for tax audits, not the big corporate guys like Goldman Sachs.

Well, I’ll tell you – it’s no fun when you fall into that 1%, which I did. But it was due to an error my CPA made. So if you don’t “raise the flag” or make a gross mistake – you should fall into the lucky 99%.

A total of 1,391,581 individual income tax returns were audited during FY 2008 (Oct. 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2008) out of a total of 137.8 million individual returns that were filed in the previous year.
